***Bottled water/or personal thermos*** Parents - we could use some bottled water
donations.
We need nibblies for the kids! All donations are greatly appreciated. Just drop off on the first
mini-band camp in July. Also check the volunteer lists inside the band hall. Volunteer a little - volunteer a
lot. All time is appreciated.

Our Director.....
Ms. Brooke Humfeld hails from Newark, Delaware
and received her Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education from the University of Delaware. There,
she participated in the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra, and Pep Band, and was a staff member and Brass Coordinator
for UD’s 350-member Marching Band. During this time, she also spent five weeks abroad in London,
England studying music and theater.
Aside from her work at the University of Delaware,
Ms. Humfeld has also worked as an IMPACT staff member for the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy in Amherst, Massachusetts
where she assisted in the training of high school drum majors and student band leaders from across the country.
She is also a member of MENC, the national organization for Music Education, and the MMEA, the Maryland Music Educators
Association.

The Band Boosters are always looking for your help! Please contact

The entire Band (and your kids!) need all the help and support they
can get to make this another successful year! Don't hesitate to hop right on in and volunteer your time.
The Patuxent Band Boosters normally meet the first Monday of every
month at 7PM in the Band Room. Please plan
to attend our monthly meetings to stay in touch with the types of assistance we need throughout the entire year.
We are a hands-on organization and undertake a wide variety of activities to raise funds and provide whatever it takes to
make the band program a success. This booster organization can only be as good as its members make it.
Feel free to contact any of the Executive Board officers or committee chairs throughout the year. Welcome and let's together
make Patuxent High School's band program
a success!
